DTN ProphetX
Description
Link real-time quote data, historical data, and fixed-news stories to applications that support DDE.
Features
Easy to use "copy and paste link" interface, standard DTN ProphetX functionality.
How is it Used
A trader has a spreadsheet that requires live exchange prices to update his/her real-time pricing models.
DTN History Add-In for Microsoft Excel
Description
Allows exporting of historical pricing information from the DTN QuoteServer directly into Excel spreadsheets.
Features
Supports a direct connection to the QuoteServer without using the DTN ProphetX interface.
How is it Used
An analyst, who is not currently a DTN ProphetX user, needs various historical datasets for use in pricing models on an ad hoc basis.
ODBC External Database Support
Description
Automatically updates daily historical prices in any ODBC-compliant database.
Features
Easily supported remotely as the functionality is integrated directly into the DTN QuoteServer. Updates the databases as market closes and future prices settle.
How is it Used
A company needs the daily settlement value for futures and options in a database to calculate their daily positions.
DTN Database Feed
Description
Automatically updates any ODBC-complaint database with live prices, historical data, scrolling news, and fixed pages.
Features
Can feed more than one database simultaneously. Includes built-in redundancy with many failure-reporting options.
How is it Used
A company needs current price information for their intranet site, and tick-by-tick and daily history for their pricing models. Their current software platform dictates that extracting this data from a database is the best option.
DTN.Net Web Services
Description
Allows access to snapshots of quotes, historical data, scrolling news stories, and fixed format pages.
Features
Supports platform independent programmatic importing of the data. The API supports HTTP-Get, HTTP-Post, and SOAP accessibility. All data is returned via XML documents. This high-throughput API also has built in redundancy. This option also supports quote-metered exchange fees, for using snapshot data on company Web sites, for example.
How is it Used
A company requires pricing data for their in-house applications and intranet sites. They have no desire to "re-database" this information prior to its usage.
DTN TIBCO Rendezvous Adapter
Description
The adapter provides a mechanism to get live data onto the TIBCO Information Bus.
Features
Support bus message requests for snapshot data (prices, historical data, and news content) and publish/subscribe requests for live real-time quotes data. The data of messages placed on the bus are in XML.
How is it Used
A company has a number of applications that already connect the TIBCO platform. Their requirements require access to real-time market data, a seamless redundant data feed, and a format of returning data that is extremely flexible.
DTN Connect API
Description
A Microsoft COM object that supports access to live prices, historical data and news content via a TCP/IP connection to a DTN QuoteServer.
Features
Supports synchronous and asynchronous methods. Handles requests for snapshots of data or publish/subscribe type requests. COM+ aware and supports redundant connections. Data is returned as XML documents.
How is it Used
A company with a C++ or Visual Basic custom application requires real-time market data. They demand a seamless redundant data feed and a format of returning data that is extremely flexible.
