DTN/The Progressive Farmer Continues Trend as Agriculture’s Most Awarded Editorial Staff
Team brings home 19 awards from the American Agricultural Editors’ Association
DTN/The Progressive Farmer, agriculture’s independent voice, continues to lead the way as the most awarded editorial staff in the industry. The team at DTN/The Progressive Farmer recently earned 19 awards in 16 categories at this year’s American Agricultural Editors’ Association (AAEA) annual awards held at the Ag Media Summit in Scottsdale, Ariz. The recognition included six First Place awards.
DTN/The Progressive Farmer was recognized for writing, photography, design, digital media and marketing communications efforts, showcasing the breadth of talent and the commitment to excellence across the company’s products.
First place awards recognized Chris Clayton, Breaking News; Kathy Meyer, Technical Feature; and Donovan Harris, Single-Page Editorial Design and Advertorial, Multi-Page of Special Section. In addition, DTN/The Progressive Farmer took first place awards in Mobile/Tablet Technology App for its DTN Ag Weather App, and for Social Media Campaign.
Additional staff members won placings for their efforts in blogs, columns, farm photography and magazine and digital design categories. DTN/The Progressive Farmer Associate Managing Editor Elaine Shein was recognized with a President’s Award for her service to AAEA.
In addition to placing well within the AAEA contest, DTN/The Progressive Farmer editorial staff members also brought home first and second place honors from the Livestock Publications Council.
