Independent Sales Representative
DTN/The Progressive Farmer has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual or Independent Ag Service Company to promote DTN/The Progressive Farmer products and earn uncapped commissions with a recurring revenue stream.
DTN/The Progressive Farmer offers a suite of proprietary business management tools that are transforming the agriculture industry with game-changing agricultural information solutions and market intelligence that enable farmers, agribusiness and commodity traders to actively and effectively manage their businesses. Duties/Responsibilities
- Networking, selling and promoting DTN’s software products and services to Farmers in the assigned territory
- Utilizing advanced technology, including laptop computers to better serve customer needs and to manage business activity
- Attend various DTN meetings, training seminars and trade shows
- Build solid relationships with local Farmers that Independent Sales Representative sold DTN products to
Competencies and Experience Desired
- Qualified candidates should have an interest in agriculture and the desire to help educate local growers of the benefits of DTN/The Progressive Farmer products and services
- Strong relationship building skills, sales skills, and ag knowledge are required
- Experience working with technology and computer skills including use of Windows and Microsoft Word are necessary
- Candidates with a farming background, sales experience, and/or business planning and development experience will be strongly considered
