WeatherPlot 3.0 Launched

New features include hourly data; growing degree day calculations; reference evapotranspiration

Iteris has just released version 3.0 of WeatherPlot®, the location-specific, agriculturally focused weather and soil decision support tool for agronomists, researchers, and crop science professionals who manage product performance inquiries. New features include:

  • Hourly data: Added hourly data for parameters including average air temperature, average soil temperature, soil moisture, precipitation, solar radiation, average wind speed and wind direction, and average relative humidity. Hourly data within these parameters can be retrieved for any 24 hour period to evaluate product performance, analyze field trial results, or provide agronomic recommendations.

  • Growing degree day calculations: Accumulated growing degree days for the specific time query, utilizing the single sine method to estimate the GDD value.

  • Reference evapotranspiration: 24-hour accumulated reference ET, where short green grass is used as the reference crop

  • Improved user experience: More easily pinpoint a specific location within a field, and more quickly remove a parameter legend from a graph to include only what’s needed.

WeatherPlot 3.0 maintains the same great features and benefits of previous versions, including:

  • Mobile-optimized and location specific to support multiple fields and regions

  • Access over 30 years of historical data

  • Save up to 20 locations for future reference

  • Select data points from multiple parameters and timeframes to determine the right decision support or analysis.

  • Quickly export and share data with colleagues and customers
